If you are coming by car there parking is available in nearby St Georges Centre and Thamesgate Shopping Centre.
SALON POLICIES
BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT - All appointments should be booked in advance via the 'book now' button on our website, instagram and facebook pages. You can also book by calling 01474 334 994 or email us at info@auroraspa.co.uk. Please note that walk in appointments can will be offered if we have availability. - All bookings should be paid for at the time of booking where possible, or by using contactless payment at the Salon Arrival Time - Please arrive for your appointment on time so that we can limit the likelihood of delays. We will try our best to accommodate late arrivals but will need to finish on time so that we can sanitise and prepare the room for the next client. The Salon entrance may be locked upon your arrival depending on the number of staff who are onsite and if they are in treatments.
CANCELLATION - As a courtesy to Aurora Spa please please allow 24 hours' notice for any cancellations. We can be notified by phone or email. Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be liable for the full amount. This also applies to treatments paid for with vouchers.
GIFT VOUCHERS - Gift vouchers are available for purchase over the telephone/via email or in person at our Clinic. - Vouchers can be purchased for specified monetary value to for specific services from our full range of treatments. - Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. - Expiry dates for gift vouchers are non-extendable and vouchers that have expired will not be accepted. Gift vouchers are valid only for use for its stated purpose and must be produced in person to be redeeemed. Gift vouchers are the sole responsibility of the Customer. - Aurora Spa does not accept any responsibility for lost or mislaid vouchers. - Once a voucher booking is confirmed our standard cancellation policy will apply. - Vouchers hold no cash value and cash refunds in full or in part are not available for any reason. -Voucher redemption bookings are subject to availability. -Gift vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
WAXING TIPS The do's and don'ts of waxing Before you wax - Let the hair grow - your hair should be at least 0.5cm and long enough to remove from the roots. - Exfoliate - gently exfoliate the area for a few days leading up to your appointment to remove dead skin and help prevent ingrown hairs after your wax. Avoid exfoliating on the day of your appointment. - Avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of your wax - stimulants can make your skin extra sensitive. - Take a shower before your trip to the Clinic and wear loose, comfy clothes to allow the skin to breathe. - Try not to visit the gym or swimming pool for 24 hours before and after your wax. - Avoid waxing during menstruation when your pain threshold is at it's lowest - it's best to wait until after your period has finished. After your wax: - After your wax, the hair follicles are exposed and more prone to infection and irritation so it's best to avoid hot showers and any exposure to heat for a minimum of 24 hours. - Avoid sunbathing or spray tans for at least 24 hours. - If you experience some redness or irritation after waxing, this is completely normal. It should disappear after a few hours but nappy rash cream, witch hazel or aloe vera gel can really help to calm and sooth the area.
